York Wholesale Meats really came through for me.I asked them to make me an old-fashioned 3-Bird Christmas Roast as a special treat for my Family at Christmas Dinner, and oh boy did they go the extra mile, YWM did an absolutely amazing job, they filled the entire thing with sausage meat stuffing and covered the whole thing in bacon, they were also kind enough, not only to deliver Free Of Charge on Saturday 23rd making sure that the roast was absolutely as fresh as could possibly be, but also provided full cooking instructions for the perfect roast.This level of service is what makes a Good Business, GREAT.THANKYOU.

Brilliant butchers. You do have to order and then book a time to collect or have it delivered to your door.But trust me when I say the meat is wonderful.They offer 5kg of chicken and you get approx 18-20 breasts. No wastage.The sausages they do are amazing.Worth looking into getting your meat from there.I don't buy supermarket meat anymore.Thanks guys and gals

I buy all my meat - oh sorry all but pork mince - about every 8wks, they deliver with orders over £20 and it's all worth it, the bacon is lean and tasty, beef juicy and tender, I could go on try it and see

First time using YWM I purchased the ultimate steak box, everything was great apart from a couple of the ribeye steaks. Contacted Danielle in customer services and she rectified the issue by sending a new 2.5kg pack of ribeye steaks free of charge which were excelleny. Can't fault the customer service and will likely purchase meat from YWM in the future. Would highly recommend.

First time ordering got chicken breasts, sirloin steaks, Pork belly slices and gammon steaks. The ordering process was very simple, delivered as booked, came in a box with ice packs.All of the meat has cooked very well, the chicken breasts were huge, sirloin steaks were exceptional, pork slices were amazing in the airfryer, and the gammon steaks were not too salty and were extremely tasty with no water pouring out of them when cooked. Will definitely order again, highly recommend this meat supplier. Exceptional produce.

We have been using York Wholesale Meats for a number of years. We've always had fabulous quality meat! We love ypur pigs & blankets and this year the addition of the sausage stuffing balls wrapped in bacon (please bring them back year after year). I wish i had a photo to show but before we knew it, they were gone!

Received my box on Tuesday. Box was nice and chilled and very well packed. Had two of the sirloin steaks for tea, they were amazing! Had some of the garlic butter chicken on Wednesday, and the Turkey and stuffing sausages last night and both meals were really good. We’ll definitely order more!

I was lucky enough to win the latest competition and had my prize of sirloin steaks and pork loin delivered last weekend. The quality is amazing and everything’s so fresh. We also purchased some flavoured chicken breasts and minted lamb chops which we have yet to try but I’m sure they will be lovely. Will certainly be placing an another order.

We had a delivery of the pork loin today and we were so impressed from the onset. We live in York so delivery was free. The meat was packaged perfectly in a sturdy box and was thoroughly chilled. We cut it all into loin steaks and cooked some today while fresh. A mazing……!!
Now what else shall we try?

We had a dressed boneless turkey crown delivered on the 21st December read for Christmas Day as well as some pigs in blankets and luxury stuffing balls.
We ordered last year so we already knew how good the quality would be and that was proved 100%. We were so happy with the quality of everything and look forward to ordering again next year. Highly recommend- excellent delivery service on the day as well, cheery and friendly despite probably being very busy.

About time I did a review, we have been using York Wholesale Meats for a few years now. We enjoy the fantastic service we get from them. Top quality meat and service for a very, very excellent price. Would recommend everything we’ve had so far but a special mention for the Ribeye joint, it was out of this world. As for the sirloin steaks oh my Lord. So tender and tasty, melt in the mouth. And at £1.80 a steak an unbelievable price for a top quality steak.

Ordered the silver meat pack for Xmas was so impressed the Turkey was delicious the beef was amazing even managed to get some steak cut off the sirloin beef for another day. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at York Wholesale Meats! We’ve had our Christmas package dropped off (which looks fantastic). I’d mentioned when ordering that I was gluten free & asked to swap out the sausages and the stuffing for chicken & mince. When the package arrived this morning the stuffing had been swapped out but I’d received sausages so I gave the number a quick call to check if this was right, & within 10 mins the delivery driver had popped back to take the sausages away & will be bringing me chicken tomorrow. As a team, you’ve gone out of your way to make sure that the very minor problem was solved & so quickly too! I am really impressed with the service & the kindness received. The meat looks GORGEOUS & we’ll definitely be ordering again soon. Highly recommended.

Cheap, tasty meat- would like to know more about the minimum welfare of the meat. I asked and they could just say the Beef was Irish and the pork is from Hull. Usually butchers are proud to tell your their welfare standards.

We've now had 2 lots of meat from here, we visited the shop where we took advantage of the fab labelled deals and we've also just had a family feast pack delivered (we thought we'd be waiting 5/6days but we were very lucky and had the meat delivered 2 days later).

The guy who delivered the meat was very friendly, just like the butcher's in the shop and they were also very helpful. The shop also felt very safe and had the usual COVID19 measures in place.

The meat is so tasty and I'm so glad we have changed from our usual supermarket meat to York Wholesale meats.

We will definitely be ordering again

Due to a problem with my oesophagus /choking I haven’t been able to eat red meat for many years, my mum however recommended I give your meat a try so yesterday I made my first visit for some stewing steak which I cooked in my slow cooker with vegetables and I am so pleased to tell u it just melted in my mouth and tasted delicious. Will defo be returning and will be letting everyone know how good your meat is !!!! Thank you 😊

I've bought from here a number of times and have never been let down any time. The quality of the meat is great regardless of what type you buy, nice thick cuts as well for big appetites. You can really taste the difference compared to supermarkets and it's much better value. I eat a strict low-carb diet so need plenty of good quality meat regardless of cost so great to feel you get value for money too! I normally go to the shop itself but tried the delivery facility this time and was very happy with both, everyone is always really helpful and friendly regardless of how busy they are. Keep up the good work guys!

Hidden gem of York if you're looking for some lush meat. Came here on the way out to a camping trip for the BBQ and found some really nice steaks. Topped it with some Stilton cheese in a tub. I'll be back here again for sure.Great customer service too, Thank you

I have been purchasing my meat for the past year at Yorkshire Wholesale Meats and could not be happier. The staff are super friendly, the products arewell-displayed, and prices are way more competitive than those of mainstream supermarkets. The chicken and leek sausages with a couple of slices of their thick bacon are my all-time favourite for my weekend breakfast! Good luck for the future and until next time!

I've bought meat from this place on several occasions. Some of the best quality meats I've had in a long time and their prices are extremely competitive. Also, had a Christmas Hamper from there last year and it was one of the best Christmas dinner's we have had to date. I pay them a visit whenever possible- great bunch of people working there!

I bought 2 full sirloin for 60, Amazing tender meat for a good price. Met the owner Danny and he’s a great lad, educating me through each of the meat: it wasn’t over there after I bought it, I had to cook it and taste the quality for myself. Top notch. I would recommend this butcher to anyone. It’s liked in York, however they do a good service and offer great price!
